Who are we?   We are a small scale working dog kennel in
central Maine. Our dogs are not kenneled outside day and night, they
are kept in the house as a part of the family. We only use dogs from
proven European work lines- as we feel those dogs are closer to the
standard as envisioned by Max over 100 years ago. The show ring
has led to many changes in structure both in the American show ring
and also overseas that has left the breed with some very different
dogs all being named German Shepherds. Temperament is the
foundation of a well bred dog- not side gait or who can produce the
most dramatic angulation. I breed each litter with the intentions of
keeping pups myself for my future generations- not merely to sell.
Therefore, I breed for a well rounded dog that can
work anywhere-
instead of for the fashion that is winning THIS year, only to discard
that notion next year when it is no longer winning.

We live in a rural area where the dogs are accustomed to walks in the
woods, cats, children, horses, and other livestock as a part of daily
living. We believe that dogs should be able to live in the home and
also compete on the Schutzhund field or work the street. Our dogs
are raised on a home-prepared diet of fresh, raw, human-grade
foods.  We aim to breed high caliber working dogs with excellent
health, great structure, and strong personalities. Puppies occasionally
available to working homes. We are members the United Schutzhund
Club of America.
